Thank you Reighan! This fossil may be the catalyst, a spark to rekinndle interest at the ROM in Ontario Canada.... ROM thinks there is sufficient material there for an id.... lots of fun... hope it pans out and be included in one of their research papers. PL

There's beautiful detail in that one, Peter - well worth following up, and I do hope you get some interest. I guess getting into a paper will depend on what it is - if it's something really unusual, then just getting the record may be worth writing up. Fingers crossed...

Thanks Joe.. there is talk at the ROM of putting a team together and start a project on placoderms we will see what happens... they want to move fast to stop this fossil from going to the states for study : ) as placoderm material is quite rare from this particular site.

Sounds like fun. Would you be involved in the fieldwork if it happens?

Hi Joe: Well we will see what happens... at least the ROM will have at least one on my specimens to look at if they wish... I will continue my usual hunt for fossils and turn over anything that is of interest... lots of fun. Did not get a response from Dr. Carr in USA so he is not interested. Better this fossil stays in Canada. Peter
