Hi Everyone I also found this web site through solius. Couple thing that I already like about this site is the NO dino or evilution. I am an invertebrate fossil collector living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have a very nice collection of fossil from surrouding areas and that includes Ontario, Canada. Actually a good portion of my collection is from Ontario. I have a web site where you can see a very small portion of my collection. Feel free to comment on it. www.crinus.infoI am an industrial chemist and work in Burlington, Ontario, a long way from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Burlington is closer to the fossil sites and it was a perfect marriage until this year when the good collecting site closed. I will have to reconsider my job situation once my current contract expires. I only work part time so it isn't as bad as it sounds. When I am not at work I am at home prepping fossils or doing volunteer work at the University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology. Currently, I am trying to photograph the university's Michigan Basin fossils and put them on the FUMMP web site. strata.geology.wisc.edu/mibasin/ The site includes Michigan Basin fossil from private collections as well as the collection at the university. This is a very long term job. I hope to be an active member of this site and help to make it more active. Joe

Hi : Joe good to see you on this forum. May be a few more people from the " thefossilforum.com" might join to give some life to this forum. Looking forward to your postings. I am sure you are going to bring lots to this forum... ... I can hear a pin drop in the corner... it's so quiet as lots of folks are attending various paleo conferences. Regards, Peter

And a great big "Hi" from me too! Can't have too many joes, after all... Excellent website - that is some collection you have there. The echinoderm material in particular looks fabulous, and I'm intrigued by the Pleiocrinus tegmen... you'll have to let us know when that's published. I've got to say the preservation in general is fantastic - I've never found anything nearly as good as your Tarquinites...

Hi crinus, welcome!
While vert nerds can be OK; creotards... well, they get under my skin.
One of my goals in life is to collect Brechin. Hopefully, it will be re-opened, someday.
