A rare event! - David Evans has published a Monograph of the Palaeontographical Society, on Lower-Middle Ordovician nautiloids of England and Wales. It includes Llanvirn species from four sites in the Builth area, including a new genus, a couple of new species, and some new things in open nomenclature (i.e. can't quite describe them completely enough to create new genera/species for them, but they're certainly something different!). The material is often really dodgy, so he's done a grand job in putting it all together. I think it's fair to say that there are quite a few new species in our collections, though, so an addendum might be necessary in future! (We're getting some gorgeous specimens in x-ray as well, so we'll try to tempt him shortly...) :-)
