Dear all, Wanted: Woodworthia, or, more precise, I would like to have more information on this particular genus. I've acquired a specimen from the Triassic of Zimbabwe, and I do know it is a rare type of conifer-wood. However, the info I could get from Stewart and Rothwell (2009) is somewhat limited, and -to my huge surprise- it is not even mentioned in Taylor et al. (2009). Anybody who knows a bit more about the biology of this fossil genus? Thanks! P.S. I didn't make photographs of my specimen yet, so here you can find a couple of images I found on the web. Very comparable material in all respects: www.paleosearch.com/images/3990a-lg.jpgwww.paleosearch.com/images/3990b-lg.jpg

Nothing useful from me either, I'm afraid... but hope something turns up!

OK, too bad, but not really a big surprise; it is only mentioned very briefly in the considerable amount of literature I have here. Probably I just need to delve deep in the old (hard-copy) material we have at university
