Found Sept 4, 2011 at Hungry Hollow positioned some 6" from plate that contained placoderm remains. Tentatively identified as a Ptyctodontid placoderm tooth? from Hungry Hollow ON Sigma DP2 + AML-1 lens Attachments:

Dr Bob Carr commented "That is a ptyctodont lower tooth plate. There is a debate over what constitutes a tooth in placoderms, but there are definitely tooth-like structures associated with some of the placoderms. In ptyctodonts, a single upper and lower tooth plate is found on each side."

Thanks Joe... the ottawa Museum tells me that the teeth that I am finding are of significant scientific merit as few bother looking at this material... not much is known.
