Joe and Steve: Thanks ! This discovery was dwarfed by an American who found a Acanthodii from the Bertie... jaw dropping discovery... more or less complete and he gave me the fossil to deliver to the ROM : ) I am imaging the fossil but will not be posting any pics till the fish is studied and published.... this fish find is of significant scientific mert...

Sounds niiice... Well, maybe I'll get to see it while I'm here, although of course I'm not any sort of expert on fish*. I'm currently on the bus between Minneapolis and Chicago, on route to the ROM.
*speaking of fish, it's looking increasingly likely that we've got one from Llandegley Rocks (Darriwilian, Middle Ord.) - but it's a mighty odd critter, if so.
