Interesting effects - well worth playing around with. You'll probably get more interesting results from polyphase specimens, though - things like ammonites with multiple cement stages, or arthropods with remaining cuticle and partial replacement. As far as I know, using unusual wavelengths works really well for a few types of material, but doesn't do much at all for the rest.

Fun to play with ..... I read that some digital cameras are super sensitive in the IR band / UV ...
