I havent been searching for any plant material lately so to keep things ticking over I thought I would post a mollusc I found a couple of months back on the north Somerset Coast... Coroniceras charlseii... 9 1/2" across.. Attachments:

Peter... Thanks.... It's a rare find for this coast for sure... The coating is basically a clear marble floor wax... It can be easily removed if required for say a re-prep using white spirit and being clear doesnt 'taint' or alter the natural colour's of the calcite mineralisation of the shell....
I'm sure I have asked before but... How do you load more than one image in a post?

reighan....Thanks... I been working on a Somerset coast nautilus... The sea has eroded a large section of the shell its been sat on the beach so long so I am salvaging whats left and attempting to make a specimen for my collection....I'll post a couple of photo's when I get chance...

Here's the best of 2 Cenoceras from lower Jurassic I found in a day on the north Somerset coast after looking for a decent sized calcitic one for a long time... (like buses) ...The sea had eroded a lot of this away so it needed trimming down to get a decent displayable specimen for my collection... Here it is as found... Attachments:
