An appeal! Now that the Builth Inlier is getting near to a state where additions will be occasional and as discovered (i.e. we've caught up the backlog!), it's time to think about extending it. There's no rest for the likes of us, I'm glad to say.
The question is, how? We really, really need your input. This is for you, as much as anyone else. What would you like to see, and what would be most useful to the site?
Some options: 1) Extending list geographically - i.e. beyond the boundaries of the inlier into the surrounding Ashgill and Silurian rocks. This is a big step in terms of scope, and will be a lot of work.
2) Creating new lists for nearby areas with rocks of the same or similar age - Shelve, Llandeilo, Llanwrtyd. Easier to do in small steps than is option 1, and there would be a fair bit of overlap with the existing list.
3) Stick to what we know, and go in depth into other aspects of the Builth Inlier faunas - detailed ecology and so on. We want to do this anyway, but probably mostly in the form of papers first.
Any other suggestions are more than welcome! Please? Even if you don't use the forum much, we'd like to know what you would find most interesting...
Cheers, Joe
