Essay entitled 'Identifying fossils' added to introduction page... I hope. Unfortunately, having AOL with its wondrous caching system, I can't check if it's worked until tomorrow, so apologies if anything's been mangled in the process!

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the update - there have been some great additions to the Old as the Hills main site recently (especially the essays - fascinating stuff), and it is now starting to provide a very useful resource for everyone who visits. Trouble is, I think it's holiday time for most people at the moment so we can expect a massive demand on our servers when everyone returns in a few weeks time!.
I haven't given up either, and I'm preparing the Drawings gallery for the Images section at the moment and one or two other useful additions for the next few weeks - I'll post the updates here as usual......

And there's a new cystoid on the faunal list, too - the one in the 'latest finds' thread.

First attempt to do something useful in 2006 - there's a graptolite range chart now included in the stratigraphy section (those for other groups intended to follow!). Also, updated the number of species 'to be drawn' in the faunal list - it's as close as it's yet been to the whole fauna, and is up to a total of... drum roll, please...
307.
Crumbs. Only another 300 or so to go, I expect...
