Okay... busy morning! There's the beginnings of a Teaching page now up, got at through the introduction. I've also reorganised things in the introduction a bit, so that the Beginners' Guide to Fossilologizing and the Key to fossil groups are now included in the list of Essays and Other Things at the bottom of the page. Hopefully it's now easier to find what you're looking for!

I've put quite a few more x-rays from the Lagerstatte up on the site, for those interested. I particularly reccommend numbers 10 and 16, but they're all interesting, if you like that sort of thing.

It's been a while since the last update, but we've put up the beginnings of faunal lists for SW Wales, Llandeilo, and the Shelve Inlier, based so far only on publiched records. Even doing just published things, they're by no means complete, but they can only get better with time... They're linked from the first paragraph at: www.asoldasthehills.org/Faunal list.html Joe & Lucy

And I've added a couple more range charts, too - cnidarians (for what they're worth!) and trilobites, which still needs a bit of tweaking but is at least close to our current knowledge now... www.asoldasthehills.org/range_charts.htmlJoe

A few more species added to the list, courtesy of Pete Lawrence. I anticipate more in future, but the ones we've added are Selenopeltis sp., Meadowtownella sp. b, Protolloydolithus ramsayi, and Bellerophon sp., all new records from Gilwern Hill Quarry.
Cheers, Pete! ;D

Sadly, the Bellerophon isn't - it's some sort of arthropod carapace, by the looks of it. The good news is, you can see some of Pete and Brian's specimens on the new images page: www.asoldasthehills.org/GilwernNeedless to say, more will be forthcoming...

I've added another 12 taxa to the lists as well - hopefully I'll get round to drawing some of them some time...

We've started on a few Silurian things now as well, although they're very sketchy so far, and they're all from the A44 road cut between Llandegley and New Radnor. There are bound to be lots more just from that site, but if you've got anything from there, or feel like having a look, try comparing them with our things and let us know if there's anything different. Likewise, if you've got Silurian fossils from another site, how about sending us some drawings or photos and we can do something with them too? www.asoldasthehills.org/Silurian_fossils

Um... slight problem with the Silurian fossils, folks. Our file manager's eaten them. Normal service will be resumed when I get round to rewriting the whole thing again...
