The website is nearing completion - there are the remaining images from the touring exhibition to add and a few pages to update, and then we are ready to make the leap into cyberspace!.
We will keep you posted on progress - we are just organising a server at the moment and we should be ready in a couple of weeks.

Ok we're almost ready to go.....
We changed our originally proposed web host after reading some bad reviews about support and uptime, and that took a bit longer than expected.
We are all signed up with the new hosts now though and everything looks great for the foundation of what will hopefully be a useful, informative and fun site.
I just have a few finishing touches to add here and there and we have to arrange the maintenance roster, but we should be online in a couple of days. Of course this will be the first place we will announce the opening of the site, and we will email all members with the URL etc.
We're not planning any grand opening fanfare as you may imagine we are starting small and expanding from there - but who knows we may have some 'events' in the future.
cheerio,
Roy.

And a couple more on the faunal list: wiwaxiid sclerite (possible!) and indet nautiloid sp. H - an interesting one with ventral siphuncle, from a very early site.
There'll be some more soon after I find my pen again...

And a few more drawings:
indet. crinoid sp. C (a cladid, poorly known but interesting); a scolecodont (got one - hooray!), another nautiloid, with very distinctive, wiggly external ridges, and three new problematic things (a possible scolecont, and two 'cones').
We're over the 250 mark! :-)

...forgot to say, I'm starting to add more detail to the faunal list individual captions as well, when I can think of something to say. What would be useful things for me to add?

Just added a new, and intriguing trilobite to the list (trilobite indet. sp. A).
There's also now an 'about us' page currently linked from the forum intro page - although it doesn't yet have Roy on, that will soon be rectified! (http://www.asoldasthehills.org/About%20Us.html

Stratigraphy added and linked to Research page.
'About us' page completed with Roy's notes (the pic was taken in Cwm Idwal earlier this year with me standing next to the largest lump of rock I've managed to chip out with my hammer so far :-))
